- Gray-to-grayish brown, light tan viscid cap. Normally darker in the center.
- White stipe, gills and flesh. Stipe covered in distinctive dark dots.
- Gills typical to Hygrophorus - broad and conntected to stipe, well spaced.
- No distinct odor.
