- NOTES: Cap 54-98 mm, moist, not viscid. Orange-to-dull or orange-brown, developing greenish stains. Gills orange, staining green when damaged. Stipe orangish, with greenish spots or stains. Flesh beige, greenish under cap surface, orange on stipe rind. Latex orange, unchanging. Taste mild at first, slightly acrid after 30 seconds. No odor. Under spruce and mountain hemlock.
