- NOTES: Dingy yellowish-olive cap that becomes dingy olive in age. Creamy gills, developing dingy olive spots and stains, Stipe with scrobiculates, colored as cap, but slightly paler. Latex white, staining tissue dingy olive. Taste quickly and strongly acrid. flesh creamy, stipe becoming hollow, and dingy olive-brown in age. Growing under spruce, mountain hemlock and birch.
